An Open Letter to the KEYGEM Community

Dear friends,

Today we’d like to share something very personal with you.

The past year has been, without a doubt, the most difficult year in KEYGEM’s history.

We’ve faced challenge after challenge. Rising costs, delayed projects, unexpected setbacks, and financial pressure have pushed us further than we ever imagined.

On top of that, several manufacturing partnerships did not go as planned. We dealt with incorrect deliveries, missing products, broken agreements and, in some cases, communication simply stopped before important issues could be resolved. Recovering from these situations has taken far more time, money and energy than we ever expected.

One of the hardest decisions we had to make was saying goodbye to our team. They weren’t just employees, they were people we genuinely cared about and considered friends.

To reduce the financial pressure on the company, both of us have taken on additional jobs. Our goal is simple: to support our family without taking money out of KEYGEM, allowing every euro the company earns to go directly back into fulfilling our commitments.

Today, our priority isn’t growth.

Our priority is responsibility.

We want to fulfill as many outstanding orders as possible.

We want to complete the remaining group buys wherever we can.

We want to bring every shipment that is still with manufacturers into our warehouse and finally into our customers’ hands.

And if there are projects that ultimately cannot be fulfilled, we’ll work with the affected customers to resolve those situations as responsibly and fairly as possible.

Because of that, we’ve made a difficult decision.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll gradually move a large part of our in-stock inventory into a Warehouse Clearance.

The purpose of this clearance isn’t to maximize profit.

It’s to generate the cash flow we need to pay outstanding invoices, receive incoming products, complete existing projects and fulfill as many of our outstanding commitments as possible.

Many of the prices you’ll see are the lowest we can responsibly offer.

We’re making this decision because, right now, keeping our commitments is more important than maximizing margins.

We know we’ve disappointed some of you.

Some orders have taken far longer than they should have.

Some projects have become far more complicated than anyone expected.

For that, we’re truly sorry.

We also know that words alone won’t rebuild trust.

Only actions will.

That’s why our focus isn’t on making big promises about the future.

Our focus is on making steady progress, fulfilling orders, completing projects and resolving outstanding issues one step at a time.

Many of you have asked for more updates, and we truly appreciate that you care. We also know we haven’t communicated as often as we would have liked. Between running the day-to-day business, working additional jobs and dealing with ongoing challenges, there simply haven’t been enough hours in the day. While we may not be able to provide frequent updates on every situation, we’ll continue to share important news whenever there is meaningful progress to report.

Once we’ve done everything we can to fulfill our existing commitments, we’ll take the time to evaluate what the future of KEYGEM looks like.

Right now, our focus is simply on doing right by the people who trusted us.

Every order.

Every message.

Every recommendation.

Every kind word.

Every bit of patience.

It has meant more to us than you can imagine.

If you’ve ever wanted to support KEYGEM, this Warehouse Clearance is the biggest opportunity to help us fulfill our commitments and move one step closer to a fresh start.

Thank you for standing with us.

We’ll keep doing everything we can.

Angelo and Ellen
